4-30-24: All team stats and rankings displayed are from the regular season. Probable goalies will remain set for each team's starting goalie. For goalies, their last 5 games stats and career playoff stats are updated daily through the playoffs. Their 2023-2024 stats and career stats are from the regular season only, and won't update during the playoffs.
1-24-24: PIM/game, Win % if Scoring First, and Win % if Trailing First have been re-added to each game table. Stats come straight from the NHL API.
12-7-23: Live odds have been changed to update every 5 minutes. Team stats, goalie stats, and injuries have also been modified to update more often. We're aiming to update everything as soon as it becomes available.
11-20-23: Starting goalie stats have been fixed and updated. We included stats for a goalie's last 5 games played, and career playoff stats. (Note: if a goalie hasn't played 5 games recently, it may only show his last few starts, which could be from the previous season)
11-14-23: Team stats now display their rank in the league (in parenthesis).
11-8-23: Working on rebuilding the site using the new NHL API endpoints. It may take a few days. I'll update when everything is fixed. Thank you.
11-7-23: The NHL.com public API is down. This is where we get all the official stats from. It was working as of earlier today, so the stats are current for tonight's games. If their API server doesn't come back up, this could be the last night of action here at Hockey Forecast. Tonight's games/stats/starting goalies would be frozen in time. Thanks for your support.
10-24-23: Live odds have been fixed. They are updated every 10 minutes and are provided by DraftKings. Thanks for your patience!

9-25-23: Preseason stats are from the end of last season. Some teams split their roster and play more than 1 game a day.

4-19-23: All stats displayed are from the end of the regular season. Likely starting goalies will be displayed by default and only changed if necessary.
4-5-23: Live odds have been added. This info comes straight from www.nhl.com/odds via bet365 and updates every 10 minutes until the start of each game. Hover over a team logo (tap on mobile) to see the team name, Money Line, Over/Under, and Puck Line odds. A game's Over odds will always be displayed with the away team, and the Under odds will always be displayed with the home team.
3-16-23: The Parlay Builder feature has been added. It was designed to help users visualize how many possible outcomes are in any given parlay, and to help drastically reduce that number of winning combinations by setting "lock" picks. Check it out.
10-25-22: Record comparison logic has been updated. If two teams have the same amount of points, the tie-breaking stat comes down to Point Percentage- points divided by maximum possible points. (A record of 3-3-0 is better than 3-4-0)
10-20-22: Starting goalies have been added. They will be updated daily for each game, as early as possible. Hover over a starter (tap on mobile) to see his current and career stats.
10-7-22: There is 1 regular season game being played today and the rest are preseason. The San Jose Sharks and Nashville Predators will play the first game of the year in Prague as part of the 2022 Global Series. They will play each other again tomorrow. The "real", televised start of the NHL season kicks off on Tuesday, October 11th when the Rangers host the Lightning.
