At HockeyForecast, we see this as a tool to whittle down winning combinations by setting "locks"-- teams that you believe are a lock to win.
If you are sure a team will win, click on their logo to set them as a "lock". This will generate parlay outcomes only where this team wins.
If you don't click on a team, the generated parlay outcomes will contain scenarios where either team wins.
All games will be included in the generated list of parlays, unless you click "Skip Game"
When you are done locking and skipping, press "Generate Parlays!"
Example: You are certain the Bruins at home will beat the Coyotes, so you click on the Bruins logo to set them as a "lock" to win. You don't want to bet on the Predators vs. Blues so you click the "Skip Game" button to remove that game from the list of parlay bets. For a close, toss-up game between the Maple Leafs and Lightning, you want to see parlay outcomes that include either team winning-- so you wouldn't make a lock and you wouldn't skip the game.
A 6 game parlay has 64 possible outcomes; with 1 "lock" team that number drops to 32 outcomes. If you were to set a 2nd "lock" team, that number would drop again to only 16 possibilities.
